Attorneys Matt Minner and Jonathan Fannin of Minner Vines Injury Lawyers, PLLC have filed a lawsuit against administrators of Rowan County high school. The suit claims that the school’s principal, Jordan Mann, and the superintendent, John Maxey, were aware of a teacher’s sexual abuse of a student and did not take action to reprimand the teacher or put an end to the abuse. Instead, they allegedly allowed the abuse to continue for several months, despite receiving numerous reports that it was occurring.

Andrew Zaheri, the teacher and assistant basketball coach, was arrested in February after a school guidance counselor raised concerns. He has been indicted on more than 23 felonies, and is also named in the lawsuit.
