About Joy
Joy has practiced law in state and federal courts across the Southeast since 2000. She began her legal career as a judicial law clerk, where she gained hands-on experience in all stages of litigation. She later practiced at a prestigious defense firm, where she handled complex commercial litigation matters.
Joy has been active in community service for more than 20 years, with a focus on children and teenagers. After volunteering as a pet therapy handler for pediatric cancer patients, she co-founded Cure KY Kids to provide funding, awareness, and support to children fighting cancer and their families. She also helped create the Curing Childhood Cancer specialty license plate and serves on the Board of Directors for Kids Cancer Alliance.
Joy is happily married to Matt Minner, and they are the proud parents of 4 children.

Joy graduated magna cum laude with a Distinction in Leadership Studies from Birmingham-Southern College in three years. She earned her law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law, where she served as Managing Editor of the Law and Psychology Review, President of the Farrah Law Society, and a member of the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society.
