Heat Stroke and Heat Illness
A coach’s job is to push competitors to do their best and be their strongest, but there is a limit. Coaches should never deny athletes water breaks, especially during intense summer practices. Sadly, many coaches think that taking care of this need is a display of weakness, or that water is a reward, and push their teams too hard, to the point that people get hurt. If you or your child suffered heat stroke or a heat-related illness because of this kind of situation, you may be able to seek compensation.
